Joshua De La Rosa is a guitar player from central Kentucky where he has lived since he was 12. Joshua has seen so much and survived the impossible. Joshua started to learn how to play the electric guitar when he was around the age of 12, teaching himself to play the guitar right handed although he is a southpaw. Joshua learned many different styles of guitar playing and genres of music such as metal, classical, Texas blues, rock, and alternative. Joshua particularly loved to play classical because it was a highly technical and difficult to play. Having never had a lesson from any kind of instructor Joshua had to learn to play classical on his own, along with everything else. Joshua critiqued his finger picking and picking techniques over the years and ended up deriving his own style. Classical Misanthrope has become Joshua's niche having,  transformed it into something brilliant, he plans to take his music as far as it can take him. Joshua began promoting Classical Misanthrope and it is now streaming around the world with his first release "Tears Don't Cry".

When Joshua was 25 he was shot in the left hand by a nine millimeter pistol, which he thought would end his career as a guitar player for good. But with time and rehabilitation Joshua was able to regain all of his dexterity, speed, and flexibility. However, Joshua started experiencing pain in his left hand while playing the guitar. It got so bad that he didn't want to play. He finally figured out how to stop it for good.
